CAD is a bitch

Today I had the pleasure of realising that, even though I was on a design course, I wasn't designing enough. 

So I decided to try and look at a computer for about 3hours and make some flats for my costumes for my story.... 

I managed to make one flat on illustrator before literally getting to pissed off to continue. 

This is what I did... 

I could do this in 10 seconds with just an pen and paper. 

On Illustrator however when ever you draw a shape over a shape that isn't really a shape it creates an invisible shape that you can only see when one of the shapes comes close to another shape and therefore you just get a white outline that is based over the diameter of the shape rather than the contoured shape of the actual line so had of your work gets hidden behind a layer of white.....

AAAhhhhhhh

I prefer drawing shit because your not limited by the computers stupidity only your own.

My plan from here is to have a mad Illustrator sesh tonight where I just draw shit for 3hours.
