Making the Score

So I when it comes to the music in a film, it can make or break it...
It can show the mood of a scene which you simply may not be able to see, or make you emotionally overwhelmed.

Lets face it when you cried watching titanic it was because the voice in the music was so gooooodddddd it made you actually melt...

you melt

So I have a number of ways of going about it...

1. Ableton Live:

So I have the free version of ableton live which to be fair is a pile of all the shitty samples that you can barely use for anything. Like after 2 years of having it and spending dozens of hours trying to get stuff working in the past has just led to me not using it with a Midi device that I bought for it (which cost me £120 btw)
So it would be interesting to see what I could do with that...
Orrrrrrrr I could get the newer version as a free trail and see what I can do in 30 days  (which to be honest is all I need if I start now)
And I can see if it is any easier to use.

2. Find someone who does music and ask for help:

Pretty self explanatory, I literally need to do what it says on the tin.
My only worry would be that maybe they didn't get the mood that I was trying to get with the music and they just completely fuck up the film.
It would be fun to colab with someone who knew what they were doing. Like my Dad who actually has experience in this field.

3. Ask my Dad
He told me to do the above...
I'm not surprised

4. Go home and use ACTUAL instruments there:

Although I don't have access to a recording studio back home I can certainly write the music there.
I come from a very musical family so our house has a Piano, Saxophone, Guitar, drum kit, flute, clarinet, recorder..... you name it.
I used to play the saxophone.
So I could defo write the music there and then compose it in a studio here.
