So...

James needs to get going with looking at what his outfit are going to be made out of...

I meannnn he already knows, he just needs to find the right fabrics for the right price.

So I'm going to start with the chequered shirt for the version of James before the reality split.

Black and White:

A chequered black and white shirt is actually something I have wanted for a while as I really like the way they look, asides from a finish line.
I think matching the different panels with the pattern might be slightly difficult but meh what are you going to do...

Red and Black/White:

I love red shirts so this really makes sense to me. 

Red shirts go with my hair and generally look good on me so, if I'm trying to match my own character profile... this would be no less than accurate. 

Blue/White: 

I don't really know why I like the blue and white pattern scheme... 

Just thought I would chuck it in for all times sake.
