Di Caprio vs a big fuck off bear

So I just watched the Revenant...

Holy shit
I'm very impressed

I watched this film because a friend who is currently studying film recommended it to me after looking at my Storyboards...

"Dudeeeeeee, If you're going to use that many long continuous shots, you have to watch this... It's like sooooooo legit" 


also Tom Hardy is in it...

So basically first things first before I get into why the camera work in the film is so good... 

I think the bear in the film was robbed of an oscar... 

Seriously what a performance.

Right the Camera work is very similar to what I want to do in my Story/Short film. 

The shots are very long in time... 

They vary in distance to what the camera is looking at

The Camera is always moving

And everything in the shot is always in focus.

Also I love the way the film only tends to use very dull colours like browns, greens and blues. 

There is very little yellow and red, unless there is Fire 

All the blood in this film is so dark its pretty much black. 

But yea it was really good to watch this film 

I mean Tom's a bit of an asshole 

And Leo is just an absolute possessed demon that literally crawls for 100's of miles just to kill him.
