My love for Sci fi
I fucking love sci fi films
Sue me
I'm a massive nerd
And in being a massive nerd I need to nerd out every once in a while
So I guess my blog is the latest victim of that
Rather than someone that I randomly met at a night club
oops
In fact as I'm writing this I'm actually watching Prometheus, you know that scene when she has an alien octopus removed from her stomach...
Yea that scene makes me feel sick as well
I think the reason why I love sci fi is because I kind of grew up on it...
Seriously people my age talk about all of the cartoons they watched when they were little like Arthur and Teletubies. Me?
I grew up on Star Trek and Ridley Scott with the occasional Thunder birds episode.
Jesus I watched Predator when I was 8. I nearly shit myself.
Sci Fi is amazing in my opinion as it brings up a few very clever theories...
It shows us how human nature will never change. That will to survive and in some cases dominate.
Or also how we are incredibly stupid we are in the grand scheme of things.
Like watching Prometheus now you can see how we are so stupid to try and engage with something that is so dangerous just so we can live for longer. So to avoid death we go closer to death...
Funny how that works.
Survival instincts I guess.
We also learn how small we are in the universe, which allows us to wonder...
This is how Sci Fi is so "flexible" in how characters and stories are made. Even now we look at some of these films and we think
"Urrrghhhh thats soooo unrealistic"
Of course it is that's the point.
If it was realistic and in the future then what hope would that give us.
Literally I just asked my brother why he doesn't like sci fi and he just replied
"Lil bit Gay innit"
Brilliant aye
I love he idea of Adventure in Sci fi and knowing where Man kind might be going or where it's been.

I've always had a habit of applying Sci fi ideas into my work, heck I even made wrote a story about Dogs that went to space, which was inspired by the Astrosaurs books. #spacedinos
And if you think it was like a 3 page scribble of shit that I did when I was 8. It was actually a 200 page masterpiece I made when I was 13. I had the pictures in it and everything.
Pretty sure I pathetically mentioned it in my interview I don't know if Tom remembers.
