Pattern progression

So this is the latest piece of pure filth to leave my imagination.

As you can see I have taken my Tulip/Rose wonder child concept and applied some different colours and layed the image out in a pattern sort of layout.

I like the way that this is panning out... however I must admit that I' not yet feeling it.
right now its like cuddling a corpse in bed, its cold and has no life in it...

What it needs is something to give it story (a life) that can immediately be related to the ocean and waves rather than an off white paper background from the sketchbook that I bought from the local shop.

I think the next step is going to be how I improve this idea gradually. 
I think the background might have to be changed to give the flowers more life (Bring out that beauty)

Then I will scan some of the patterns and apply them to the template on Photoshop and from there create CAD versions will look more professional.

Some really mature reflection here. Remember what we spoke about in terms of moving quickly and exploring many ideas. Sometimes if you load up to much energy in a single expression it can feel like your plodding along. Keep pushing and taking risks whilst not being precious
