The Turtle neck. What I love, hate and would improve
Like most things in life I have a love hate relationship with the turtle neck is pretty much at the top of the list.
My first interaction with the turtle neck was when I was about 4 years old and I was watching some old TV shows with my dad. One of favourites was time tunnel...
Why???
Because the main character had a turtle neck...
I think the turtle neck could definitely be a tactical garment... I mean a piece of sports wear... same thing.
I mean you have all this fabric simply lying under the head... What does it do?
It could double as a scarf if you hid some of the material and made it stretch almost to the point where you could make a skinny hood.
You could add pockets onto it and make the material its made out of breathable and warm for colder situations. AND IT WOULD STILL LOOK SEXY TO WEAR OUT AND ABOUT.

To be fair I don't remember much about time tunnel... I just remember the turtle neck (duh) and this one episode that gave me nightmares about quicksand.
Asides from time tunnel there have been a few other instances where I remeber the turtle neck somehow sneaking into my life.
I think I actually had one when I was little and I wore it into school on a non uniform day and one of my friends said I looked like a snail and I cried. Now I look back at that moment it doesn't really make any sense. Like how did it make me look like a snail??? I should of slapped him for his biological ignorance. I was beige by the way.
The other main influence tthat the turtle neck presented me was from an american cartoon called Archer that I started watching about a year ago. Because I have the mind of a six year old and I still love cartoons...
shut up
Anyway throughout the show there is a repeated joke about the turtle neck which Archer (the greatest secret agent in the world) (Apparently) wears as a tactical garment on dangerous missions, claiming that it is an excellent piece of clothing to wear as a spy. He claims that he was the one who started the trend for other famous spies (James Bond, Kings man) to start wearing them on missions...
Trust me its actually really funny.
Here's a clip
