Project #2 The shirt project
So the second project we were briefed on today was our shirt project which I have already talked about in a previous post...
-THE SHIRT
However we did get a basic outline for what we are expected to do.
-Shirt Research
-Fabric Research
-Fabric Sourcing (Apparently this will be quite difficult)
-Pattern and shirt Development (Toiling, testing, wearing)
-Final shirt being worn
-Final shirt flats
-Final Shirt Illustration
This is also marked on the finished shirt and the blog work to go with it.
Again I actually can't wait to start this project (I mean I have) but only a little research into the turtle neck nothing that serious as of yet.
What I'm looking forward to is finding the key concept for this shirt and what its going to do
.
I don't want it to just look good. My old technology teacher always used to ask me after I came up with a design was "what does it do?" and I sometimes found myself taking words out of the air because I only designed it to perform a role which already existed except I made the product look good. So I've found from that that a product can't just look good it must have something else... something unique that makes you go OOOooooo would you look at that.
