Project #1 Finisterre Pattern print
Today we were given our two projects that are going to see us through for the next 6 weeks.
The first Project that I am going to be talking about is the Finisterre Pattern print project.
In this project we are required to research and design an aesthetic pattern to go onto some surfing overalls.
This pattern will have to suit the customer profile and the expression that we want it to give, which will be based off of 3 words that we will decide towards the start of the project.
Now as soon as aesthetic pattern was mentioned I could of leaped out of my chair and started dancing on the table. But I didn't because that would have been not only slightly embarrassing because it was a Tuesday morning and everyone else in the room asides from you Tom were very tired and could barely even speak without mumbling.

So you might know why I was so delighted to have this sort of project first.
If you remember a post from a few weeks back now you may remember that my Art A level was heavily influenced by pattern work inspired by Kerby Rosanes in which my own detailed style was born. Could I use this skill in my project? Or should I lean towards expanding my skills and looking elsewhere for some inspiration???
Ha ha just kidding! Of course I'm going to do something else for this project. Where would be the fun otherwise???
I mean I am definitely going to use some of the skills that I learned last year but I'm not going to use copy and paste, because that is just cheating and quite a cowardly thing to do as I would be sticking to what was already known to me.
Another thing I am very happy about is that this blog is part of what is marked and I don't need to be formal in it!
The reason why I actually like blogging is that its very easy to show what you actually feel strongly about and how you plan to use it whilst still showing glimpses of human personality, where as formal writing is just a bit shit to be fair. I don't see why the world is based on the idea of being formal to show class and manners. It should be to truly express yourself without hiding behind a suit...

Anyway I like how this blog i panning out. I almost write it how I would normally speak which can sometimes not make sense but then again it shows whats really going through my head rather than something that has been drafted and edited over and over again.
