3D in a 2D space
So...
I personally am not a fan of this next design...
I'm just using it to prove a point.
One of the things that I love about drawing on paper is that you can make illusions of 3D objects in a 2D space...
Here I am simply trying to show the illusion of a shirt with 3D attributes on it (The different panels) You can do this with line, perspective and colour.
The further something away is supposed to look... It needs to look smaller and vice versa...
The further away a certain point is from the light source to show the shadows... the darker it needs to be.

So I've come to terms that I can make the outline of a basic garment now... Like now I can see its not the HARDEST thing in the world...
Unlike Getting your phone out of your pocket whilst in skinny jeans sat in a packed bus in a tight seat without elbowing anyone... THAT MY FRIEND IS HARD
But I think what is next is to simply try to recreate garments that catch my eye.
So I would have to go on Google images and find something that tickles my fancy and then try to recreate that in Illustrator... Without tracing it...
Unlike some other people... 🙈🙈🙈

Great post. I really like how, with the fundamentals, you are already starting to explore, experiment and push what you find aesthetically appealing.
Great stuff!
