Muay Thai is a brutal but beautiful game

For me striking has always come naturally.
However there are levels in techniques followed by levels in expression.

Martial skills are the components to any martial art
Martial arts is the user expressing those skills in tangent to someone else.
Like a very angry dance

Muay Thai is a brilliant example of this.
Out of all of the Martial arts it is perceived to be one of the most brutal as it takes some of the most hardcore training, skill and also survival instinct.
There is relativity no protective gear in competition so it seems crazy to have elbows, shins and knees involved.

A simple elbow strike is terrifying enough even as a martial skill.
It can become even more nightmarish when in competition and the fighter wishes to express him/herself with more style.
So as you can imagine a flying spinning back elbow to the temple is not something that you want to go to sleep to, it makes boxing look soft, which it isn't I love boxing.

I also think Muay Thai is one of the most entertaining sports to watch. If your looking just to see tow people beat the shit out of each other or if you like the technical side of things. I personally prefer a mix of both. Sure when you see someone land a good head kick you think "holy shit good head kick he timed that perfectly!"
Whereas I can certainly relate to "OHHHHHHHHHH SHIIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!"

One of my favourite athletes to watch in the world in fact would be Buakaw.
And he's just a monster!!

When it comes to how a martial artist trains, Buakaw takes it to another level completely...
Not only does he train like he's actually trying to rip his boy apart (as well as his sparring partners)
He also RISKS HIS LIFE IN FITNESS STUNTS LIKE DOING PULL UPS ON A BEAM THAT IS 50FT FROM THE FUCKING GROUND.
When he spars he plays with is partners sometimes, this is common in Muay Thai training where partners will spar but at only like 50% intensity and take turns to attack and defend. It allows fighters to build up technique in striking, defence and also how to read their opponent.
I'll link a lil video here...
To be honest I doubt anyone read this far...
