A cheeky bit of colour boi
James has never been good at photoshop...
But he had to get comfortable with the concept of colour isolation on adobe first.
So WhAt A gOoD pLaCe To StArT
This is based off of an idea that I want to use I my short film that is colour isolation and how to use it.
This effect has been used in certain films such as Schindler's list, Sin city and Kill Bill.
Here is some of what I've leaned so far...
So here is the original image, a bowl on the floor...
I mean that's pretty much it
You could argue that the floor is blue so that will make it stand out but honestly when I took this I just thought "Hmm this looks red" put it on the floor and took the picture.
So the way this works is by creating 3 layers... with one you want to leave blank, just the original image. The second one you want to desaturize it so its just a black and white image.
The third and final layer you want to adjust the colour levels. Here you simply turn up the colour you want to see to the max and all the others to the lowest setting.
View all 3 layers at once and boom...
A black and white image with the red bowl.
On photoshop this was pretty easy.
Now all I need to do is the same in Premiere...
