YOU CAN'T RUN ON A FUCKING CLOUD
Right after frantically writing out the title I realised that I have just become the running equivalent of a vegan who likes to rant at people who don't care.
I mean shit I'm officially a Falmouth student
Well I do feel like I should at least post about this...
Because for some reason my Blog has sky rocketed from about 4 views a day to 10 and I feel like I have actual fans now.
QUALITY CONTENT
Anyway this is going to be about an ad that I saw on Instagram about Under Armours new running shoes.
Here it is below:
Now I do need to point out before I shit on this idea, Don't worry I'm gonna shit on them that this is actually a VERY GOOD looking shoe. I'm a massive fan of the looks. Like if this was a year ago I would be all up in the hype to save up for these. But now I'm fully into the minimalist shoes because it is a better way of running for many reasons which I have mentioned before.
I could still wear these as just a casual sneaker but they are far to expensive and also I see myself getting some minimalist casual shoes soon as well because I'm a fucking hippie now.
Me in 5 years
The thing that annoys me about this is how its marketed. Under Armour who as a Sportswear brand I respect very highly claim that this shoes sole will give a zero gravity feel due to how the Sole is put together and what its made of...
No...
It won't
I mean yea sure when you first buy them when you run on a very hot day when the EVA foam has expanded and your joints and muscles are warm then you are going to have a spring in your step if you land on your forefoot. But in 90% of cases this is not going to happen unless you have been running barefoot all your life and its now your natural technique... AND STILLLL the shoes will try to "correct this" by trying to give you a more comfortable ride...
Your muscles in your calves begin to relax to much and your back to hell striking getting aches in your joints etc.
It's like when you were a kid and you saw the ad for "Moon boots" and you thought that if you had them you could jump over your own childish ego and still be flying into space when in reality they actually made it harder to walk in some cases.

However what I am curious about is how the new Foam Under Armour have created is going to compare to the current king of "cloud walking" from Adidas Boost.
Because UA were always in a very close second place with there Charged foam line, so If its improved as much as they say then I want to see how Adidas respond because they've been using the same formula for years now.
