Group Therapy Session with Alice
So today we had a discussion seminar with Alice
(Basically circle time)
Here we were given some feedback from our peers about our story ideas and how we want to show them.
This involved diving into the core concept of our ideas and into how we are going to tell our story to our audience.
I talked about my idea for 5 minutes feeling pretty damn good about myself and then got about 15 mins of feedback.
Which went along the lines of the two versions of myself and how they were going to differentiate.
The main piece of advise was to avoid good vs evil. As it is quite generic and also have some activities involved that might relate to me like sports.
I am going to take this advise
And put it to the side in a binder so I can look at it later...
On the top shelf...
Main reason for this is because I want to keep the general principles of the story as simple as possible which is showing the audience that a stereotype can be more than just a surface image.
Plus I don't see how two characters need to be similar in some way.
I want to show diversity
Not similarity
I want to make it clear what I'm doing so I can tear down the sheets of reality right in front of your face to show true reality.

Of course I perform this stunt well it might be to easy for viewers to see the twist. In which case they will just go...
oohhh
Where as I want this...
HOLY FUCKING SHIT WWWWHHAAAAAAAATTTTTTT!!!!
I was also given some really good ideas when it comes to colour and how its used in films like Schindler's list and Red balloon where colour isolation is used in a black and white image where only one colour shows.
