Finisterre water colour pattern

I started to experiment with the randomness of expanding water colours. 

To do this I used every 5 year olds favourite art tool... oil pastels...

I then mixed this with water and I just went crazy with the paint brush painting away from a centre point to make it look like the paint is expanding outwards. And then I just went over it in some pen pattern ideas that I have used before...
