Shirt Concept piece
I decided to draw out some concept art for what I hope my shirt will look like when its finished.
I used some techniques that I learnt around a year ago with combining pen and water.
I love to do this as it gives the image a lot more life to it, more energy due to the gravity that helped create the streaks down the paper and distort only certain types of pen.
Fine liner only tends to smudge in water if it is still wet itself... when its dry however it keeps its form, whereas compared to felt tips the water can heavily distorted especially if its heavily pigmented like the black in this picture which almost now looks like ink blots you see in psychiatric tests rather than human limbs.
This also makes the image look less conventional than if I just left the normal image untouched and "accurate". You need something unpredictable in every piece of art otherwise it simply isn't human and could look like it was done by a computer.
