Shirt Button research

I know right I'm making a full on blog post about buttons...
What has my life come to.

I actually think that the type and colour of the buttons that I use on my shirt however are very important in thinking about how I want my shirt to look when its finished.

To be honest when I started my research I just thought that finding a button that I would like to go on my shirt would be easy.

It umm

It wasn't...

I began my research on the website on Button Queen and
OH MY GOD HOW MANY BUTTONS DO YOU NEEEEEDDD
I didn't even need to go to the other websites it was going to take years for me just to find a button the right size!

Luckily I had a decent idea for what colour I wanted, which was brown and preferably made out of real wood just for that extra bit of quality... But they are a lot more expensive than plastic ones which is a slight problem as I could save money BUUUTTTT I loose quality, and also I couldn't fin any buttons made out of wood...
shame
Here are some images of some of the buttons that I am thinking of using, but I havent quite decided on...
I am thinking that the brown buttons on top of the white cotton will give the shirt quite a vintage look, you know it would make it look like a relaxing shirt that your granddad would wear in the autumn where he's complaining about how could his armchair is whilst eating a big plate of Sheppard pie...
That's probably just what my granddad was like but hopefully you get the point.
