Flower pattern experiment

So I'm starting to experiment with some flower doodles with the intention of eventually turning them into a pattern, like a screensaver of sorts.

One thing I've realised is that these flowers can either be Very bright in colour or have no colour at all, nothing in between. If you go between you just get a faded image which simply isn't eye catching enough. Like when you take a picture with a bad camera and it just looks a bit grey. 

Another another thing I'm looking at is the use of Geometric patterns within the plant shapes themselves, which makes the image look like a total mind fuck similar to what your first taste of acid looks like. 

But this can lead to the image looking confusing rather than intricate. 

Think of it as if, in one hand, you are being taught astrophysics by Neil Degrasse Tyson. Eventually you will understand it as the educational image you are being shown is clear and understandable... and also because It's Niel the boi Tyson. 

But on the other hand you could be being taught this but by a toddler that's also trying to understand what gravity is by sitting in a washing basket at the top of the stairs its just a bit...
