The Leather Bike/Racing Jacket Dilema
For some time now I have been thinking of bagging myself a leather jacket of some kind.
I've been avoiding them for a while now because I have been worried that some of the people when wearing leather Jackets are trying to look tough. If worn in a certain way with other items like really distressed jeans or padded trousers, it looks like the person is really trying to look like a biker.
I personally haven't got a problem with this, even if they don't ride a motorcycle, its just that i don't want myself to come off that way.
When I think leather Jacket I immediately think of 70's-90's films
I think Maverick from Top Gun

Or Tyler Durden from fight club

Anyway after looking at some leather Jackets for a little over a month now I feel like I can finally open myself up about the particular style I like and which ones I don't.

For some reason I have actually swayed away from the black leather jacket.
I don't know why exactly, it might be because there is a subconscious feeling that it looks almost to aggressive and "biker wannabe" like.
I look at this and I think that it is a nice jacket but I don't see myself in it.

I like this jacket a lot.
I like the quilting on the shoulder and the placements of the pockets. I just don't like the colour of the brown. Its a little bit too clean. Like someones just gone over it with a baby wipe. I also don't like the way it goes with the colour of the zips. The combination of the gold and the brown for me does not work.
I still like it though...
Red bridge Men's Not Applicable Long Sleeve Jacket

I was also considering getting a coloured leather jacket. This would be a risky move if the colour was to bold, I could be walking around like a failed attempt at a Michael Jackson cosplay.
But this risk is tempting.
But then I remembered that I have red hair...
and that would be just to much red to look at for one day.
Clothes shopping
my eternal enemy.

Mens Biker vintage motorcycle distressed brown cafe racer leather jacket
I started to look at brown leather jackets instead and for a while I was really into this jacket.
I like the distressed look of the leather like its at least a few years old and has seen better days. But it gives it character.
I decided not to get it however because I personally don't like the detail on the elbow lines.
I would rather that this area stayed clean.
