Pattern Cutting #2

Today we focused on the bodice of a dress as well as the collar.
I found that the way that the bodice mainly varied in styles was the placement an the size of the darts or folds/cuts in the material.
Some of the different styles looked quite difficult to complete however we found that we were just using the same basic skills over and over again.

I found the collar work to be very simple (considering it was the basics)
However when we transitioned into the hood work it got a little more complex.
When I first made a hood for my summer project I just decided to free hand the entire pattern and then just reuse it so all the sides were the same.
But here every angle and curve seemed to have a meaning to it due to a calculation.
Made me feel like I cheated on my summer project to be completely honest.

YEEEESSSSS!
dodged a bullet
